Testimonials

So how effective is this ministry we call Kairos? Below are testimonials received from those who have attended one of the programs Kairos offers.

Written Summer of 2010 by a Kairos participant incarcerated in an Indiana State Prison:

One can only hope and pray that organizations like Kairos will continue to be allowed to perform their miracles within our jails and prisons.  Knowing that 95% of all those incarcerated in prisons throughout the United States have release dates, does society really want them to return as hate-mongers looking for revenge or people with a newfound “listen listen, love love" attitude that surrounds the Kairos participants. Kairos does not attempt to convert all participants to Christianity, but they do instill in them an attitude of tolerance, and peace, and fulfillment, so that Muslim and Pagan, Christian and Atheist, can communicate with each other with a respect for each other’s views, but also, a respect for that person and their belief.

By a Guest on Kairos Outside New Hampshire #17:

Like so many who were “Guests” on a Kairos Outside Weekend, I’m sure we’re doing it to “appease” someone close to them, thinking that they will do this and that will be the end of it. HA! LITTLE DID WE KNOW IT WAS GOING TO CHANGE OUR LIVES FOREVER!!!!

Written Winter 2008 by a young man attending Kairos Torch #1, Tulsa, OK

I think I’m to learn more about the Lord this Weekend. I think God is sending these people to us so we can see Him through them. To me they are angels that God sent to us. There are no words I can use to show how much I appreciate the Lord for sending these angels to me. I pray that God keeps sending us angels that can show us the right things about life, and I pray that we keep learning more about You every day, Lord Father. I hope and pray that these angels You sent us, You will send back to us again one day. This is a big blessing, Lord Father. You are letting me know that You haven’t forgotten me. I think this is going to be the best Weekend ever. Amen.

Kairos On TBN

On March 31, 2011 somewhere between two and three million viewers watched Paul Crouch Jr. as he hosted a segment of Praise the Lord which featured prison ministries.  John Thompson, Executive Director of Kairos Prison Ministry International was one of the featured speakers.  Here is a segment of the show in case you missed it.

And again on May 24, 2011, John Thompson appeared with host Clifton Davis and went into more detail about the ministry of Kairos.
